NOLI

For close to three decades, Nazim “Noli” Saliu has been creating both classic and cutting-edge styles for men and women. Trained in Macedonia, Noli worked internationally before coming to the United States, working for nine years in Minnesota at shops at the state capitol and at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

While he was working at the airport, he had the opportunity to cut the hair of numerous celebrities who stopped in while waiting for flights. Jennifer Aniston, Owen Wilson (and his brother Luke), Kenny Rogers and members of the Minnesota Timberwolves basketball team have all trusted Noli’s skill. He’s been creating his signature looks in Connecticut since 2008.

While he can handle any cut from traditional to modern, Noli specializes in innovative techniques that give his clients one-of-a-kind styles. He’s been engaged by Ref, an upscale product company based in Sweden, to teach their top stylists new techniques and ways to incorporate their products into looks that sizzle. He’s also an IT&LY Ambassador Advocate. While in Minneapolis, he was the recipient multiple times of the StarService Northstar Crossing Award Program, selected from 7,000 employees. He was a medalist in the 2012 Fight for the Throne men’s hair show, held in Connecticut. Noli’s also competed in numerous hair shows in Europe, winning awards at the European hair shows, held in cities, such as Budapest, Istanbul and Berlin. Last year, he competed in Switzerland and Milan with famed hairdresser Cuzzucoli Gianni Il Figaro. No matter what your style, Noli has one goal: to make sure you love your hair!

NORA & ALMA

Noli’s twin daughters, Alma and Nora, have been with the business for two years. Graduates of Brio Academy, they share Noli’s commitment to giving each client a customized look and an amazing experience. The two specialize in services such as color, waxing, make-up and perms, and enjoy taking the time to get to know their clients. Their interest in hair and make-up began as children, where they first practiced their skills on each other and family members. Nora and Alma believe in continuing their education, and have been named IT&LY Ambassador Advocates.
